The corporate calendar as a story supplier.
AGMs, dividends, reporting dates, ad-hoc disclosures — every date is a trigger that runs through the same pipeline as a story.
What you can do with it
- Import dates — globally, independent of the watch list.
- Filter by type, symbol, ISIN and period.
- Create templates for recurring events.
- Turn a date into a draft that lands in the same workbench as everything else.
The thinking behind it
Calendar dates, earnings and directors' dealings are not standalone end products but feeds into the same workbench. They differ from the news stream only in what triggers them, not in what comes out.
That is why they sit under “Stories” — they are story triggers. And why they need no editorial route of their own.
Improvements
Calendar dates sat among setup pages. They belong where you go looking for something to write about.
Import independent of the watch list
Reporting dates come from the global import. Only financials still run through the watch list, because each name there needs a filing request of its own.
