Your watchlist, with the whole universe right beside it.

You maintain the stocks you watch in one place. Next to them sits the ticker universe of around 44,000 symbols, from which you pull matches into your list.

What you can do with it

  • Maintain the watchlist: create symbols with ticker, name, ISIN/WKN and exchange, correct them and add several at once.
  • Search the ticker universe and pull matches into your own list.
  • See at a glance how large the reachable universe is and how much of it you hold.
  • Start, follow and stop the universe import, so the earnings sync sees every available name, not just the watched ones.
  • Work with each name's market capitalisation, for example when sorting earnings.
  • Jump from the processes window straight to the “From ticker reference” view.

The thinking behind it

“Create symbol” and “add ticker” used to live on two different pages. Now it is one set of instruments in two views: what you watch, and what you can choose from.

For a long time it looked as if there were only a hundred-odd stocks, because only the watched ones were in the database. Putting the two side by side makes the gap visible, and the import closes it. Still, only what you deliberately choose is watched.

Improvements

  1. Market cap per stock

Every stock carries its market capitalisation from the ticker universe; the earnings list can be sorted by it.

  2. Straight from the processes window

A link in the processes window leads straight to the “From ticker reference” view.

  3. Watched means watched

Imported names sit alongside as unwatched. The watchlist stays what you chose.

  4. Universe import

The ticker universe can be imported, and the earnings sync sees every available name instead of only the watched ones.

  5. Instruments in one place

Watchlist and ticker reference are two views in one tab instead of two menu items that each did half the job.
