Where the data comes from — RSS, APIs and named blocks.
Add and verify feeds, define and live-test endpoints, name response fields as blocks and drop them into prompts.
What you can do with it
- Add RSS sources, have the URL verified (the display names how many entries were found), activate and deactivate them.
- Import feeds in bulk.
- Define API endpoints: method, parameters as single value, CSV or array, custom headers, path to the result list, category.
- Live-test an endpoint and map its response onto fields.
- Create data blocks: named excerpts of a response that go into system prompts as tokens.
- Move between source maintenance and technical configuration — both surfaces link to each other.
The thinking behind it
The surface was called “topic planning”, so it promised editorial planning, and delivered a source and endpoint configurator. It also sat in the “editorial” section although it is setup. Anyone wanting to add a data source did not look for it there.
Alongside it was a second endpoint editor elsewhere — same fields, same routes, but without category, custom headers and live test. A weaker copy of the same interface: which one you used was pure habit.
The weaker one is gone. In its place is a link to the complete one. Point to it rather than carry a second form.
Improvements
Named honestly and filed correctly
“Topic planning” became “Sources and endpoints”, and the surface now sits under setup. The intro says what the place does rather than being an implementation note. Incidentally: a typo in the word “queries” was fixed in all four places it appeared.
The second endpoint editor is gone
A weaker copy of the same interface has been removed — with no loss of function, since everything it could do the complete editor can do too. In its place stands a link there.
Mutual links
The source page links to an endpoint's technical configuration, the endpoint area links back to source maintenance. Each keeps its own object, but the route between them is visible.
Instruments in one place
Master data and selection from the ticker reference were two menu items that each did half the job. They are now two views of the same area.
